Bilingual International School Of Paris Primary

BEWARE As a parent, I cannot stress how grateful I am to have removed my son from this scam school. My money went down the drain. The BISP director only one goal is to make more money to bribe the parents via a showcase staged nice setting “music room”, “art studio” and “laboratory”, etc. and their freelance hired website designer made a website advising an British curriculum. Teachers are forced to take pictures to promote the school (dress up students in different attires) as they cannot even get more than 65 students in the entire college section. Try to book a visit to the school and you will see for yourself. The school is in a residential building. Try calling their automated number to register your child and you will never hear back. Go on site, ring the bell and the building cleaning lady will open the door and quickly get your details to pass on to register. They charge parents a ridiculous 20,000 euros per year for poor pedagogical approach, curriculum is not followed, no breaks for the students rather my son informed me they eat during the lesson whilst the teacher is teaching. There is only a 30 min lunch break with 9 periods in the day. Teachers have lunch in the canteen with all students as there is no staff area. The lady who sits to run the administration is an unqualified employed parent (son’s in the school) with no experience in the job or knowledge of the curriculum or what goes on in the school. I emailed her numerous times requesting feedback for my son, no response and said I will get back to you. I feel sorry for the teachers working there in this scandalous environment. You are not allowed to meet with all of the teachers, which is very strange. If you really care about your child’s education, put your child in a well-established private school that is properly managed not by amateurs running a school like a tuition centre.

The teachers are dedicating a lot of time and are well organized with a lot of constructive feedback on the kids educational evolution. The HUGE downside to this school is the inability of the administration staff and directors to properly address and resolve parents concerns in a professional manner. All in all this school is good but in case an issue arises do not expect a timely or appropriate response from administration and especially from the call center who have no idea how to respond to concerned parents.

A school value to trust. My daughter is in grade 5,she never wants to miss one day in BISP. This school arranged a really enriching school year,it brought a lot of new perspectives and new areas of knowledge to discover. The teachers here are very responsible, they knows my daughter very well, and gave us useful advices. We are honored to be here to learn.

I was deeply worried at the same time felt guilty for my 6yr old, when my family had to move to Paris. I was constantly searching bilingual/international schools and contacting each to make the best choice out of the options I had in hand. Since my daughter had no experience in learning French and English, I knew it would be quite a challenge for her, cause I experienced the same thing when I was a school girl from an expat family back in the 90s (but for me it was only English that I needed to deal with). However, my daughter loved and still loves the school! The teachers are especially helpful and seem to fully understand the emotional stress that the students suffer from moving aboard along with the academical stress from learning two languages (or sometimes 3 if you are from a non-English or French speaking country) at the same time. After 6 months, now my daughter can make simple English sentences and understands French better than I do. Although I do need to help my daughter out with assignments, I find it less stressful than what I had to do in Korea where the pressure is much stronger and harder. Besides, my daughter says she wants to go to school every morning, so what more can I ask for?
